Presentations were given by Book Activist Founder, Victoria Dilly, who spoke about how to help children develop a reading habit and find the right book. Gill Pawley from Inkpots, an organisation that runs creative writing workshops for children, gave parents ideas for helping children to get creative. Lousie Weir from Lovereading told parents all about their amazing websites and the free services they offer to help children choose books. Read on for a full write-up.
The inaugural Bookchat Roadshow took place on Thursday 13th October 2016 at Warden Park Primary, New England Road, Haywards Heath. The event was a great success and we're delighted to say the second Roadshow is now in the planning!
