Amazing Authors in August!
Summer is finally here! In three words, tell us how are you spending your summer this year?!
Writing. A. Book.
Childhood memories - what was summertime in your childhood like?
Summertime in my childhood was brill. I lived in a street with loads of other kids my age, so we'd play out, ride to the park, play British Bulldog. Every Summer we'd host the Olympics, with cardboard medals and ceremonies and everything. I loved the guys on my street. Great memories!
Where would you most like to Get Caught Reading this summer & why?
I'd most like to get caught reading on a beach somewhere. Think white powdered sand, clear water...me, in the shade under a palm tree. Aaaaaah.
You create amazing characters in your books! Which one would you choose to spend summer with & why?
I think I'd most like to spend the summer with Josie. Not in The Meadows though, just having grand adventures like jumping into lakes and hiking through the woods.
Reading is the ultimate escape! Which book ‘world’ would you escape to for summer & why?
I'd totally escape into The Great Gatsby. I'd be much better for Gatsby than Daisy. We'd have mad parties all summer and the things that went wrong wouldn't go wrong because Daisy who?
Summer survival - name the three most essential things you take on holiday?
Factor 50. Water. Book. I'm sinfully boring, aren't I?
Summertime selfie – who would you have a selfie with this summer & why? (Fictional, historical, alive today)
See the answer to Question 5. We'd spam your Instagram feeds. You'd totally unfollow us by mid-august.
Summertime travel – train, plane, automobile or other?
Plane. I LOVE flying. Love it. I always fight for the window seat and spend the whole flight looking out the window at the world below. It's my ultimate dream to learn to fly a plane one day.
Inside or outside - best place to be creative in the summer?
Outside is where I go to feed my creativity, the woods, the beach, hiking; anywhere in nature. Or people watching. Or museums. Then, inside is where I go to write. Always inside. Always at my desk. Can't do it anywhere else!
Stuck on permanent summer vacation? What three books would you choose to have with you?
Only three books. Are you mad? Nope. Can't do it, too hard.
Thank you for participating - have a great summer!
