“Keep reading. It's one of the most marvellous adventures that anyone can have.”
The BOOK ACTIVIST was founded by Victoria Dilly, who above all, wants to share her passion for reading. Victoria has been a school librarian for over ten years and prior to this worked in events management and marketing. She has always been an avid reader. Working across the age ranges of 2 - 18 years, in state and independent schools, Victoria has seen first-hand the difference reading can make to children & young people. Victoria believes everyone has the potential to discover reading for pleasure and utilises her wide ranging experience and knowledge of children’s literature to positively impact the reading habits of children and young people. Through various activities, signposting and events, working with schools and parents and carers, The Book Activist empowers children and young people to discover a lifelong love for reading.
The Book Activist:
Encourages children to develop a love for reading.
Provides parents with ideas to help their children get into reading.
Supports schools in developing a reading culture in their school communities.
